This Privacy Policy Statement applies only to information collected online by the Site and does not cover any such information collected by us other than through this Site, or by our Site’s service providers, affiliates, joint ventures, co-promotions between Site and a third party, or any charity partner or other company or party, unless specifically stated.

Your privacy is extremely important to us and committed to safeguarding it. The purpose of this Privacy Policy Statement governs the manner in which  we collect, use, disclose, manage, and store the personal information that you (“Subscriber”, “you” or “your”) may provide to us online through participation with the Site. If you do not agree with this Privacy Statement, please do not participate in Read for My Schools' online activities and services that require you to provide personal information. Your continued participation on this Site indicates your acceptance of this Privacy Statement.

WEBSITE COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

As you interact with our Site, we and our service providers may collect certain information from you in a variety of ways, including but not limited to name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, ("Personal Information”). We use your Personal Information to inform you about participating, operating and improving our Site products and services as well as our mission to improve your needs, preferences, and overall experience on the Site. This Site may collect Personal Information from you in a variety of ways, including but not limited to when you voluntarily choose to provide such information such as when you visit or register for access to Site, interactions with Site products or services, Site inquiries, and participation in Site interactive services that we may offer such as surveys, ratings, comments, posting and sharing of user-generated content through forums, blogs, social networks, etc. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to save and archive content of any nature including Personal Information collected as provided herein and to share such information as described in this Statement. The following types of Subscriber Personal Information may be collected, stored, and used:

  1. Information about your computer including IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, and operating system;
  2. Information about your visits to and use of this Site including the referral source, length of visit, page views, and Site navigational paths;
  3. Information, such as your email address, that you enter when you register with our Site;
  4. Information that you enter when you create a profile on our Site – for example, your name, gender, school, community organization, and educational details;
  5. Information, such as your name and email address, that you enter in order to set up a subscription to our emails and/or newsletter, webinars;
  6. Information that you enter while using the Services on our Site;
  7. Information that is generated while using the Site, including when, how often, and under what circumstances you use it;
  8. Information relating to pledge donations, services, or transactions you make through the Site which includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  9. Information that you post to our website with the intention of publishing it on the Site, which includes your profile name and the content of your posts;
  10. Information contained in any communications that you send to us by email, or through the Site, including its communication content and metadata;
  11. Any other personal information you send to us or through the Site.

We do not sell, trade, or rent Subscriber Personal Information to others. Subscriber Personal information submitted to us through the Site will be used solely for the purposes specified in the policy or on the relevant pages of the Site. Once your fundraiser account is closed by your event administrator, your Subscriber Personal Information data described herein will be deleted in 90 business days. If you need to delete your Subscriber Personal Information before your fundraiser account is closed, please contact us and a support team representative can assist with the deletion of your Subscriber Personal Information described herein.

We may use your Subscriber Personal Information as follows:

  1. Administering our Site and business;
  2. To comply with court orders or subpoenas and as necessary to satisfy any law or regulation;
  3. Personalizing our Site for you;
  4. Enabling your use of the Services available on the Site;
  5. Sending you goods purchased through the Site;
  6. Supplying Services purchased through the Site;
  7. Sending statements, invoices, and payment reminders to you, and collecting payments from you;
  8. Sending you non-marketing notifications for commercial communications associated with Services on the Site;
  9. Sending you email notifications that you have specifically requested;
  10. Sending you our email newsletter, if you have requested it (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require the newsletter;
  11. Sending you marketing communications relating to our business or the businesses of carefully-selected third parties which we think may be of interest to you, by post or, where you have specifically agreed to this, by email or similar technology (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require marketing communications);
  12. Providing third parties with statistical information about our users (but those third parties will not be able to identify an individual user from that information);
  13. Dealing with inquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to our Site;
  14. With our corporate parent(s), service providers, and other affiliated entities for business and operational purposes related to our Site mission;
  15. To a third party in the event of a corporate sale, merger or other restructuring;
  16. Keeping our Site secure and prevent fraud;
  17. Verifying compliance with the terms and conditions governing the user of our Site (including monitoring private messages sent through our Site through our Site private messaging service); and

If you submit Subscriber Personal Information for publication on our Site, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the license you grant to us.

Your privacy settings can be used to limit the publication of your information on our Site and can be adjusted using privacy controls on the Site.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

  1. Information that we collect may be stored, processed in, and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy.
  2. Information that we collect may be transferred to the following countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in the European Economic Area: the United States of America, Russia, Japan, China, and India.
  3. Personal information that you publish on our Site or submit for publication on our website may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.
  4. You expressly agree to the transfers of personal information described herein.

RETAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION

  1. This Section herein sets out our data retention policies and procedure, which are designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations regarding the retention and deletion of personal information.
  2. Personal information that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
  3. Without prejudice to article G-2, we will usually delete personal data falling within the categories set out below at the date/time set out below:
    1. personal data type will be deleted 120 business days after the completion of fundraiser on Site.
  4. Notwithstanding the other provisions herein, we will retain documents (including electronic documents) containing personal data:
    1. to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
    2. if we believe that the documents may be relevant to any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings; and
    3. in order to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk).

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  1. We will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information.
  2. We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers.
  3. All electronic financial transactions entered into through our Site will be protected by encryption technology.
  4. You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
  5. You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our Site confidential; we will not ask you for your password (except when you log in to our Site).

OPT-IN/OPT-OUT OPTIONS

We will not send promotional emails to minors under the age of 13. For other users, you can "opt out" of receiving a promotional e-mail campaign by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the particular promotional email offer and following the instructions to complete the opt out process. Please note that even if you choose to opt out of a promotional e-mail campaign, we will continue to send you important service-related communications (e.g., lost password notifications) pertaining to the operation and participation in the Site.

SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION/COPPA COMPLIANCE

Protecting the security and privacy of children under the age of 13 covered under COPPA (Childhood Online Privacy Protection Act) law is an extremely important part of our Site mission. For that reason, we do not collect Personal Information on our Site from those we actually know are under 13. We provide clear instruction, access, and required acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for all Subscribers to complete when registering for Site access from an email address. We also provide other sign-in methods from service providers (Facebook, Twitter, Google Gmail) to improve your overall customer experience with the Site, but use of as well as relationship with, and services provided are subject to their own service provider Privacy Policy and Terms of Use Statements. Please remember that no data transmission over the Internet, or by other means, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Thus, while we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. Therefore, you understand, acknowledge, and agree that you transmit certain Personal Information over this Site at your own risk.
